Who I am
Every ecommerce founder I talk to has the same story. They have tried an agency retainer that felt like paying for a Slack channel, a full-time hire who spent months onboarding, or a marketplace freelancer who disappeared after month two.
What most brands need is one experienced operator embedded in the strategy, accountable for outcomes, and working without the drag of agency layers or the overhead of a payroll seat.
I am Abduttayyab Dohadwala. My work centers on content-led ecommerce SEO for D2C brands, marketplaces, and international storefronts. This page shows how I approach the business, what the engagement covers, and the results I have delivered.
Why independent
Agency model
The senior strategist who sells the contract often vanishes after kickoff. Junior account managers run deliverables, and reports get formatted before anyone asks what actually happened. You pay for the average of five different people's attention.
Independent model
One person owns the strategy, execution planning, and reporting. Decisions happen faster. Priorities can shift within hours instead of quarters. The trade-off is capacity, and that is the point.
The full stack
Ecommerce SEO is not one thing. It is a stack of overlapping practices that need to work together for compounding organic revenue.
Every ecommerce audit starts with the crawl: duplicate collection URLs, orphaned products, faceted navigation, hreflang, schema, and Core Web Vitals. The technical layer is unglamorous, but it is often the difference between content ranking and content sitting invisible.
Collection pages are the highest-leverage URL type in ecommerce. I build them with intent research, entity coverage, related collection links, proper H1 structure, contextual copy, and structured data that helps search engines and AI systems parse the page correctly.
Product pages need enough context to rank without hurting conversion. The working mix is specifications, use cases, comparison points, FAQ blocks, review integration, Product schema, and internal links from relevant categories.
Ecommerce content is not blogging for traffic. It is building authority around what customers research: fabric guides, sizing guides, material comparisons, installation guides, ingredient explainers, and buying support content tied back to commercial pages.
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, and AI Overviews are now part of purchase research. I use structured data, FAQ blocks, entity clarity, and LLM-readable brand context to help ecommerce brands get represented correctly in AI answers.
Selling from India into the US, or expanding from the US into Europe, needs more than a plugin toggle. Hreflang, local buying language, shipping trust, currency signals, and region-specific content all need to line up.
Every engagement needs GA4 ecommerce events, GSC query analysis, GTM hygiene, and Looker Studio reporting. The dashboard should tell the weekly story: revenue, rankings, AI referrals, branded versus non-branded search, and conversion movement.
SEO can drive traffic, but weak UX kills revenue. I flag product-page trust gaps, category filtering issues, cart abandonment content, and interactive elements like size calculators or comparison widgets when they affect organic conversion.

Access to GA4, GSC, platform data, crawl tools, and ranking data. The output is a prioritized audit organized by revenue impact, implementation effort, and time to result.

04
Ongoing
Weekly async updates, monthly strategy calls, quarterly reviews, and dashboards that keep the relationship closer to a fractional Head of SEO than a black-box retainer.
Frequently asked
For technical fixes and existing-content optimization, meaningful ranking movement typically happens within 60-90 days. For new content and topical authority building, expect modest results in the first 3 months, meaningful acceleration between months 4-6, and category-defining outcomes between months 9-18.
Yes. I have worked across Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, custom PHP builds, and headless commerce setups with Next.js frontends. The strategy is platform-agnostic, but the execution changes by platform.
Direct access to the person doing the work. No account managers, no junior analysts, no bloated retainer built around handoffs. The trade-off is capacity: I take on a small number of partnerships so the work gets focused attention.
I build detailed writer-ready briefs covering keyword targeting, search intent, entity coverage, internal linking, E-E-A-T signals, schema markup, and conversion CTAs. If you need writers, I can bring in a trusted pool or train your internal team against the briefs.
Every engagement includes AEO, GEO, and AIO work as core scope. That means FAQPage and HowTo schema, LLM-readable brand context, entity optimization, and monitoring citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot.
I have worked across apparel, home goods, furniture, health and beauty, food and beverage, and consumer electronics. Categories with strong content SEO opportunity usually produce the biggest wins from collection-page authority.
Yes. I have helped an Indian D2C brand generate $1.15M in US-market revenue since March 2025 and have worked on multilingual sites across European markets. International ecommerce requires careful hreflang, local intent research, trust signals, and region-specific content.
Both. A one-off audit usually runs 3-4 weeks and delivers a prioritized 90-day roadmap plus 12-month direction. Retainers extend into execution, content briefing, ongoing technical work, measurement, and iteration.
Every engagement is scoped custom. Pricing depends on site size, SEO maturity, content volume, internal team support, target markets, and how much execution you need after the audit.
